“Food, like travel, should excite you, ignite your passion, and take you on an adventure..”— Chef Emily, The Curious Epicure
The curious epicure, Chef Emily has a worldly approach to food and the culinary arts. A native of eastern Tennessee, Chef Emily’s passion for cooking began in her grandmother’s kitchen, where she was drawn to the comforting flavors and hospitality of the deep South. Chef Emily has developed and tested recipes as an editor for Martha Stewart’s Everyday Food magazine. She has also designed and managed large-scale events, worked as a food stylist for several national ad campaigns, and taught baking and pastry classes at the University of Tennessee’s Culinary Institute.
